ATS Picks for Friday, November 8th

We are back on track following a really poor performance on Tuesday, I followed that up with a solid Wednesday that brought me nearly back to even. Tonight looks to be an interesting night of College Hoops as there is a solid amount of games on Television and a few really intriguing matchups to look at. The headline game will be Baylor and Washington matching up in the Armed Forces Classic but there is also the Pac-12 China game and some decent matchups as well to take a look at. Below are my best bets for all of tonight’s best games, as well as some other intriguing matchups.

Featured games

Davidson vs Auburn

6 PM ET on CBS Sports Network

Line: Auburn -3.5

ATS Pick: Davidson

Why? Coming off a Final Four the Tigers lose a lot of their offensive pieces and will be going through a slight rebuild this season. Meanwhile, Davidson pretty much returns everyone from last year’s team. I feel this game will be a little bit ugly but I am willing to ride with the experienced Davidson Wildcats to win.

North Carolina at UNC Wilmington

7 PM ET

Line: North Carolina -19.5

ATS Pick: North Carolina

Why? The Tar Heels had to grind yesterday in order to beat Notre Dame at home but they found a way to run away late. I think they carry yesterday’s momentum into this game and beat UNC Wilmington handily even though it is a road game.

Baylor vs Washington

9:30 PM ET on ESPN

Line: Baylor -5.5

ATS Pick: Baylor

Why? Washington has an incredibly loaded frontcourt that will be able to out talent a lot of teams but Baylor is one of the few teams that can match up against that. Look for McDaniels and Stewart to get theirs, but the Bears’ experience, mixed with their ability to space the floor along with their ability to pound the glass will allow them to win this one handily.

Arizona State vs Colorado

10:30 PM ET on ESPN2

Line: Colorado -5

ATS Pick: Arizona State

Why? This is a game that is more 50-50 than most are saying, many are anticipating Colorado to make a big jump forward this season which is not exactly how I see this. The other thing that makes me pick Arizona State is their recent history of playing their basketball early in the season.

Other good bets

Illinois Chicago at Memphis

7 PM ET on ESPNU

Line: Memphis -16.5

ATS Pick: Memphis

Why? The Tigers are looked really impressive in their debut and are really talented as a whole, especially with James Wiseman is on the court. The main reason to take the Tigers here is that sites like KenPom don’t really like the Tigers and that is what the lines are based off. Look for Memphis to win this game going away and easily cover the 17 point spread.

Colorado State at Duke

7 PM ET on the ACC Network

Line: Duke -25.5

ATS Pick: Colorado State

Why? This spread is way too high for a Duke team that really can struggle offensively at times. I look for Colorado State to at least keep it close for a little while, and while Duke probably runs away, winning by 26 is a really tough ask.

UNC Greensboro at Kansas

9 PM ET on ESPN+

Line: Kansas -17.5

ATS Pick: Kansas

Why? I would get this one early, Kansas is coming off a tough loss to Duke and are likely going to come back to Allen Fieldhouse motivated to win this game. I look for them to simply out talent this Greensboro team and win by at least 20.

Wednesday’s Results: 5-2

Year to date: 7-8
