ATS Winners: Wednesday, November 13th

College Basketball Picks

Tonight’s games are going to be really good, however, now is as good of any time to look ahead to tomorrow’s games. There will be three Gavitt Game matchups, while the return of Will Wade to VCU will be an interesting matchup as well.

Featured games

LSU at VCU

6 PM ET on ESPN2

Line: VCU -2.5

ATS Pick: LSU

Why? I really haven’t been impressed by VCU this season, they try to win games by making it a low-possession gritty game which isn’t ideal when going up against more talented teams like LSU. I like LSU to basically out talent this Rams team and which would be a solid road win for the Tigers.

Villanova at Ohio State

7 PM ET on FS1

Line: Ohio State -2

ATS Pick: Villanova

Why? First off, Andre Wesson being out is not ideal so that gives me some concern, to begin with. Then throw in the fact that Villanova has been really good thus far this year and should create some mismatches against Wesson and Young inside. This game will be pretty close throughout but I lean with the Wildcats winning a tough road game against a decent a young Ohio State.

Purdue at Marquette

9 PM ET on FS1

Line: Marquette -1.5

ATS Pick: Stay away: Under 143

Why? I think this game is very close throughout and could go either way so I don’t really want to pick either team. That being said, I like the under in this spot. Purdue has not really found an identity on offense yet and while Markus Howard could drop 50, I’m banking on him not doing that and the Golden Eagles will be limited to only 70 or so points at the max.

Providence at Northwestern

9 PM ET on the Big Ten Network

Line: Providence -9

ATS Pick: Providence

Why?  Northwestern just lost to Merrimack, there’s no way they follow that up by keeping it close against a Providence team that has been blowing other teams out of the water.

Other good bets

Grand Canyon at San Diego State

10 PM ET

Line: San Diego State -11

ATS Pick: San Diego State

Why? This Grand Canyon team has not been good at all this year, first, they lose to Davenport and then follow that up with a home loss to Illinois. If they can’t win games at home, why should I trust GCU to win a road game.

Monday’s Results: 1-0

Year to date: 14-20
