Early in the day we learned Kobe King has left the Nebraska program before even-having played in a game. King transferred to Nebraska in February after leaving the Wisconsin program a few weeks earlier, now he’s moved on from Nebraska. I’m guessing this spells the end of Kobe King’s college career but who knows at this point in time.
Nebraska still has the commitments of Kobe Webster (Western Illinois) graduate transfer who averaged 17 points per game for Western Illinois last season on 41% shooting and 33% from three. They also add JUCO Guard/Forward Teddy Allen, who spent a season at Wichita State, and formerly West Virginia. He spent one season at a JUCO before committing to Nebraska, he’s a good scorer, especially around the basket. They also have Lat Mayan who’s another JUCO product, good defender and shot blocker at the JUCO-level and should play solid role for the Cornhuskers this season.
Nebraska looks to be near the bottom of the Big Ten this season but Fred Hoiberg has definitely made an upgrade to the roster for this upcoming season, despite losing out on Kobe King.
