Thursday night will feature the Premiere game from the Gavitt games as the Seton Hall Pirates will play host to the Michigan State Spartans. This is a game that was expected to see Myles Powell and Cassius Winston go up against each other, although it looks like Powell will miss this game. The other game will see Penn State play at Georgetown while there’s one more mid-major matchup that will feature in my daily ATS picks.

Why? I know the analytics are liking Penn State in this spot, however, I go against the analytics with this one. I think the talented Hoyas find the offense needed to beat this Penn State team.
Michigan State at Seton Hall

Line: Michigan State -7.5
ATS Pick: Michigan State
Why? With no Myles Powell in the rotation, I have no clue where Seton Hall gets their offense. Mamu and Cale are good secondary pieces but I don’t want to really rely upon them going off in order to win. On paper, I look at this game and think Michigan State reasonably has the three best players in this game. With all that said, I am picking Michigan State to not only win but to win comfortably.

ATS Pick: Harvard
Why? Let me start this one out by saying that Harvard is a really talented team that should win the IVY League handily. That being said, they aren’t quite at their peak to this point and are going against a tough-minded Siena team that will try to slow the pace and make this game ugly. I still like Harvard to win but 13 is too much for me to ask.
