Notre Dame, Laszewski, stun UNC at the buzzer

South Bend, IN – After a 34 point loss to Duke just 2 days prior, the Irish rebounded with a 77-76 win against a struggling North Carolina team, who have now lost 6 in a row.

The Irish took a 3-point lead into the second half, which quickly faded into a 15-point deficit. From there big shots by Gibbs, Hubb, and Laszewski propelled them to the comeback win.

Cole Anthony had 23 to lead the way on both sides from a scoring perspective, but sophomore guard Prentiss Hubb had 20, with 15 coming in the second half to fuel the Irish. With the game on the line, Nate Laszewski drilled the game-winning three-pointer with 2.4 seconds left on the clock.

Bracketology Effect: Notre Dame remains off the bubble for now but if they were to win out and steal a few in the ACC tournament, they have a chance after picking up another Q3 win tonight. North Carolina’s season seems to be over, after losing 6 in a row, they will need an ACC tournament championship to clinch a berth.

Betting Effect: Covered: UNC +4, Over 150
