Monmouth Graduate Transfer commits to DePaul!
Salnave is a guard who is immediately eligible. He averaged 14 PPG, 4 RPG, 3 PPG at Monmouth last season on 36% from 3, and 39% from the field. While that’s not very efficient shooting wise, he probably won’t shoot near as much at DePaul as he did at Monmouth.
He could play the point and move Charlie Moore to the Shooting Guard spot, in order for him to move around more off the ball. DePaul adds Salnave to new additions Javon Freeman-Liberty (Valpo), Courvoisier McCauley, a transfer from a D2 school. Salnave will start and fit in well. He should be a really good addition for Coach Leitao, here’s what DePaul’s lineup should be
PG- Ray Salnave
SG- Charlie Moore
SF Javon Freeman-Liberty (Needs Waiver)
PF- Romeo Weems
C- Jaylen Butz
That’s probably not a tournament team, but they could compete for an NIT bid or something like that. DePaul is still in on other transfers, so we’ll see in the coming weeks if they add anyone else.
