SMU Big-Man, Isiaha Mike will sign with an agent and remain in the 2020 NBA Draft.
In somewhat surprising news, Senior Forward Isiaha Mike is leaving for the NBA, he is someone that will likely go undead red. I like him a lot as a player and think he’s a first round talent, due to his stretch-4 ability in today’s NBA, as a 6’8” guy who can knock down three’s, good rebounder, defender. I’m a big fan of his but it just doesn’t seem like he’ll be someone that will be drafted, which is unfortunate for him, but he’s decided to go anyways. I’m not one to judge others decisions, Mike could’ve seen this as the best thing for his family and himself, I just think it’s interesting, but best of luck to Isiaha.
The Mustangs we’re my preseason AAC favorites before this news now they are likely going to be behind Memphis, who is expected to land 5-Star Center, Moussa Cisse. Moving forward for SMU. I think Oklahoma State transfer, Yor Anei would be an awesome fit for SMU, so if they can land him or someone of that caliber they could potentially be a team that can be considered as one of the top teams in the league. Here’s what their rotation looks like going into next season.
PG- Kendric Davis
SG- Emmanuel Bandoumel
SF- Tyson Jolly
PF- Ferron Hunt
C- Ethan Chargois
Bench: Darius McNeil (California), Isiah Jasey, CJ White, Darius McBride, Jahmar Young Jr
I still see the Mustangs as a top-40ish type of team and a tournament team but I need to see it on the court now. I want to see how they do with Mike and if they prove they can win without him, if they can then then I’m back on the Mustangs bandwagon.
