Top 100 players in College Basketball

Top 100 Players in College Basketball

Here are my top-100 players in College Basketball, based off what players I think will have the best season this year. Here I will break down each player, which should help explain why each of these players is placed where they are on this list.

1.Carsen Edwards – Purdue

Carsen Edwards tops the list because of his high-scoring ability and also having the potential to put up giant numbers while leading Purdue. Last year Edwards put up great numbers playing alongside Isaac Haas, Vince Edwards, PJ Thompson, and Dakota Mathias, however, all of them graduate leaving just Edwards. I think Edwards could reasonably lead the nation in scoring and if he does that while keeping Purdue in the Top-25 he should win National Player of the year.

2.Dedric Lawson – Kansas

After having two outstanding seasons at Memphis, Dedric Lawson transfers to Kansas with the hope of helping lead the Jayhawks to a National title. Lawson put up giant numbers for Memphis and was rumored to be the best player in Kansas practices last season. I look for him to make a giant impact for Kansas this season, being a both great scorer and rebounder, while he will likely win Big 12 Player of the year.

3.RJ Barrett – Duke

RJ Barrett has established himself as one of the best prospects in the sport but will look to have a good season this year for the Blue Devils. Barrett is an elite level athlete, with great size, versatility and scoring ability, all tools the Blue Devils need, I look for Barrett to lead the Blue Devils in scoring while helping them be one of the top teams in the sport.

4.Shamorie Ponds – St. John’s

Shamorie Ponds is a do it all type player for St. John’s putting up big numbers scoring wise, while being an elite passer. This year Ponds should have a little more help beside him, however, he still will have to carry the load. I look for him to once again put up big numbers and help keep St. John’s in the conversation for a NCAA Tournament bid.

5.Tremont Waters – LSU

Tremont Waters was one of the biggest surprises last season, as he put up good numbers while helping the Tigers overachieve their preseason expectations. Waters has shown to be a good scorer, shooter and passer, all assets the Tigers need this year. I look for him to step up statistically, while helping the Tigers establish itself as a Top-25 team.

6.Grant Williams – Tennessee

Grant Williams returns to Tennessee as the reigning SEC Player of the year, which was the case because of his great low-post scoring ability. Williams is small but plays bigger than he is, allowing him to score and rebound well inside, while also being an anchor for Tennessee defensively. Look for Williams to have a similar season as last year, which could allow him to repeat as SEC Player of the year.

7.Luke Maye – North Carolina

After coming into North Carolina as walk-on, Luke Maye looks poised to end his career as one of the Tar Heels most accomplished players in program history. Maye has been to two Final Fours and has won a National title but just now is coming into his own, becoming one of the best big men in the country last season. I look for Maye to put up good stats this season, while looking to help lead the Tar Heels to another Final Four.

8.Markus Howard – Marquette

Markus Howard is one of the games best shooters, having limitless range and the ability to score the ball from everywhere. Howard is an elite level scorer and showed last year his ability to go off at any moment which was key for Marquette. This year with more role players around him, Howard should continue to put up big numbers for Marquette, while the Golden Eagles look poised to finish high in the Big East standings.

9.Caleb Martin – Nevada

After sitting out a year transferring from NC State, Caleb Martin quickly stepped in and led the Wolf Pack in scoring, in route to winning Mountain West Player of the year. This year expect more of the same from Martin as he is an elite scorer from everywhere on the court, his abilities could be what helps Nevada make a deep run in the NCAA Tournament and achieve things the program has not seen before.

10.Nassir Little – North Carolina

Nassir Little comes into North Carolina as a highly touted one and done prospect but in his short career at North Carolina he could lead the Tar Heels to a National title. Little comes in as a good shooter, defender and has a good wingspan, while having the ability to play both the 3 and the 4 with his length. I look for him to have good numbers scoring, while pairing nicely with Luke Maye both inside and on the wing.

11.Cassius Winston – Michigan State

Cassius Winston is one of, if not the best passer in College Basketball, having a unique ability to find the open men for the Spartans. Winston’s passing ability makes him a valuable asset, however, this year it could be his scoring ability that helps Michigan State win the Big Ten. I look for Winston to put up good scoring numbers, while potentially leading the country in assists, this could make him an All-American when all is said and done.

12.Tyus Battle – Syracuse

Las year Syracuse needed someone to step up for them to be a NCAA Tournament team and Battle was the man for the job. Battle became a good scorer, as well as a good defender in Syracuse’s 2-3 zone, while playing 40 minutes per game because of depth issues. This year the Orange add some depth, which should mean less playing time for Battle, meaning his efficiency numbers should rise, which will help the Orange be near the top of the ACC.

13.Dean Wade – Kansas State

Last year Dean Wade emerged as an elite level scorer for Kansas State and was one of the reasons behind Kansas State’s fourth-place finish in the Big 12. Wade is a good shooter, post player and defender, which are all key for the Wildcats, I look for him to put similar numbers as he did last year, however, Kansas State should step out and be a Top-10 team, giving him more recognition.

14.Eric Paschall – Villanova

After Villanova won the National Championship their roster was hit hard this offseason as they lost four players to the draft, leaving Phil Booth and Eric Paschall as the best returning players for Villanova. Paschall has proven to be a good scorer playing around other pieces but will be forced to be the main guy this year for Villanova. I look for him to put up big numbers this season, while being the driving force behind another Big East title for Villanova.

15.Romeo Langford – Indiana

Indiana got what it needed this year when Romeo Langford decided to stay in state and play for the Indiana Hoosiers. Langford enters college as an elite scorer from everywhere on the court, which could mean danger for any Big Ten team. I look for Langford to put up big numbers in his only season playing for the Indiana Hoosiers.

16.PJ Washington – Kentucky

While Kentucky has a lot of other great players, none I think will be as good as PJ Washington, who looks to be an elite post player for the Wildcats. While Washington is short for a big man, his wingspan allows him to play bigger than his size, he also is an elite rebounder, elite defender and is good at scoring around the basket. All these skills are what makes him a potential breakout player and will be helpful for a Kentucky team looking to get back to the Final Four

17.Zion Williamson – Duke

Zion Williamson comes into College Basketball as one of the most polarizing figures in the sport, because of his dunking ability. Zion is more than just a dunker, as he is an elite scorer inside and has the tools to be a great defender, the only issue he has is his shooting ability. Zion should fit in well with this freshman class Duke has, while he’ll put up good numbers and help the Blue Devils stay near the top of the ACC standings.

18.Cam Reddish – Duke

Cam Reddish enters into this season somewhat as the third wheel for Duke but in all reality he has just as much talent as anyone on Duke. Reddish is a shooting guard with a lot of versatility and has the ability to score the ball, all things that can be good for Duke, Reddish also should be the best defender on the Blue Devils, having the ability to guard multiple positions. Look for him to be a key glue guy with star power for the Blue Devils, as he helps Duke maintain it’s recent success.

19.Mike Daum – South Dakota State

Mike Daum enters into this season as the most accomplished mid-major player in College Basketball, having won two straight Summit Player of the year awards. Daum is an elite level scorer from everywhere on the court, which makes him such a tough guard for teams. He should continue to put up big numbers this year but with the players he has around him this year, the Jackrabbits could potentially make a deep NCAA Tournament run behind Daum’s play.

20.Ethan Happ – Wisconsin

Ethan Happ is one of College Basketball’s best low post scorers in the sport, which is big for Wisconsin’s success. Happ has continued to improve statistically every year at Wisconsin but now that the Badgers have some players around him he could see a numbers decline. He still should be the most dominant big man in the Big Ten, while helping the Badgers get back to the NCAA Tournament.

21.Killian Tillie – Gonzaga

Killian Tillie established himself late in the season as one of the most valuable players for Gonzaga, being one of the reasons many picked Gonzaga to go back to the Final Four. Tillie is a good scorer, rebounder and defender, and showed the ability to stretch the floor late in the season, I look for him to have a good season and be a key asset in a potential deep run for the Bulldogs.

22.Udoka Azubuike – Kansas

Udoka Azubuike enters into his junior season as one of the most established and best frontcourt players in the country. Azubuike has proven himself to be a good low-post scorer, defender and rebounder, while playing lots of minutes last year. He should play a little bit less this season as he will have frontcourt help but his presence inside will be key to the Jayhawks success this season.

23.Charles Matthews – Michigan

After transferring from Kentucky to Michigan, Charles Matthews showed himself to be an elite level player while helping the Wolverines get to the National Championship game. Matthews a lot of times was underestimated, however, that won’t be the case this year, I look for him to improve upon his scoring and help lead the Wolverines to another successful season.

24.Reid Travis – Kentucky

Former Stanford standout Reid Travis transfers to Kentucky in hopes of being the missing piece for a Kentucky team looking to cut down the nets in April. Travis is a good scorer inside, putting up big numbers in his time at Stanford, however, by transferring to Kentucky he might not get the same amount of shots. I think statistically he will have a down season, as he will not get as many touches but his impact as a grad transfer can help Kentucky achieve their goals.

25.Kamar Baldwin – Butler

Kamar Baldwin was a good player playing alongside Kelan Martin, however, with Martin gone Baldwin should step up and become an All-Big East caliber player. Baldwin is a good scorer and has shown the ability to pass the ball, this year I expect his numbers to rise, as he will become the focal point of the Butler offense.

26.Sagaba Konate – West Virginia

Last year Sagaba Konate stepped in and became one of the top defenders in the sport, while helping West Virginia have another successful season in the Big 12. This year Donate should continue to be an elite defender, although I think he will likely have more of a presence on offense. I expect Donate to put up a lot of double-doubles, while taking on more of a scoring load for the Mountaineers.

27.Jordan Murphy – Minnesota

Early last season Jordan Murphy and the Minnesota Gophers were rolling, Murphy was putting up great stats including double-doubles in his first 17 games, however, as the season went along the Gophers imploded. Murphy returns this year flying a little bit under the radar, I look for him to have similar statistics to last season, although it should be in more of a winning season for Minnesota.

28.James Palmer Jr. – Nebraska

After struggling at Miami, James Palmer transferred to Nebraska and right away became an All-Big Ten level player. Palmer led the team in scoring last year and should continue to do so, assuming Nebraska can make the tournament Palmer should get more national attention.

29.Barry Brown – Kansas State

Barry Brown is a great all-around player, first, he’s a great defender, having shown the ability to take out any guards on opposing teams, he also is a good scorer and has shown the ability to make clutch shots, all important assets for Kansas State. Look for him to put up good stats, while continuing to play great defense, all these things will be needed if Kansas State is going to make that jump most expect this season.

30.Ky Bowman – Boston College

After playing well alongside Jerome Robinson his first two seasons, Bowman will become the main playmaker for the Eagles with the loss of Robinson. Look for Bowman to put up monster stats this season and potentially lead the ACC in scoring, however, it would be far-fetched to see the Eagles making the tournament.

31.Justin Robinson – Virginia Tech

Justin Robinson has proven to be an All-ACC level point guard and he should continue to be one for Virginia Tech this season. Robinson has proven to be a good scorer but does some of his best work off the ball, assuming he can continue to play a similar role this season and Virginia Tech makes the jump most think they will make, he could find himself as an All-American.

32.Kris Wilkes – UCLA

Kris Wilkes’ return to UCLA was much needed as he does a lot of things that are needed to help the Bruins win games. Wilkes is a great shooter, good defender, and has the length to play both the 3 and the 4, all things UCLA needs this year. I look for him to put up big numbers as a Sophomore, which should help UCLA finish near the top of the Pac-12.

33.Jordan Caroline – Nevada

Jordan Caroline has been a great fit for Nevada over the past few years and now enters his senior season looking to finish his career on a high note. Caroline is an elite rebounder, good low-post scorer and a good defender for Nevada, he should continue to be a good fit with a Nevada team that could reasonably make a run to the Final Four this season.

34.D’Marcus Simonds – Georgia State

Last year D’Marcus Simonds took control of the Georgia State offense and went out and put up huge numbers, while leading Georgia State to the NCAA Tournament and winning Sun Belt Player of the year. That should be the goal once again this season for Simonds, I look for him to scorer even more, while also improving on his passing, both these things should be beneficial for the Panthers as they should get back to the NCAA Tournament.

35.Rui Hachimura – Gonzaga

Rui Hachimura is one of the most exciting players in College Basketball, having all the physical tools to be a great player both in College and in the NBA. Hachimura has all the skills you need to dominate in College, however, he has shown inconsistency so far for Gonzaga. If he could show a little more consistency this season he could potentially be an All-American, if not he’ll still be a good player on what looks to be a great Gonzaga team.

36.Quinndary Weatherspoon – Mississippi State

Quinndary Weatherspoon has proved himself to be one of the better guards in the SEC, however, he is missing one thing from his College resume and that is a NCAA Tournament appearance. Weatherspoon should continue to put up good numbers and assuming Mississippi State makes the jump we expect, he should be an All-SEC player.

37.Jon Elmore – Marshall

Marshall became one of the most exciting teams to watch last season, in part because of Jon Elmore’s deep shooting ability. That ability led the Thundering Herd to a Conference USA title and a first-round upset win against Wichita State. Elmore should put up another monster statistical season, which should help Marshall stay near the top of the Conference USA standings.

38.Payton Pritchard – Oregon

While Oregon struggled last season, one good thing that came out of last year was Payton Pritchard’s emergence at the point guard position as he was good at both scoring and passing. This year he should put up similar stats but with better teammates around the Ducks should have a much better season.

39.Kyle Guy – Virginia

Kyle Guy is one of the best shooters in College Basketball and is a perfect fit in with the Virginia style of offense. Guy does most of his work off the ball, where he is good at getting open and knocking down shots, he also acts as a good team defender for the Cavaliers. Both these things make him very valuable to Virginia and can help the Cavaliers make a deep run in the NCAA Tournament.

40.Juwan Morgan – Indiana

After a couple of down years, Juwan Morgan broke out last season and became an elite level big for the Hoosiers, as well as being the focal point for the Hoosiers offense. This year Morgan could see his stats drop a little bit with the addition of Romeo Langford, however, his ability to score inside will be a key for the Hoosiers this season.

41.De’Andre Hunter – Virginia

As a freshman, De’Andre Hunter came right in and became a key contributor for Virginia, in part because of his length and versatility on the defensive end. Hunter’s ability to play both the 3 and the 4, as well as his good shooting ability, makes him a tough matchup for anyone, look for him to have a great season both offensively and defensively which will help keep Virginia atop the ACC.

42.Bryce Brown – Auburn

Last year was a breakout year for Auburn guard Bryce Brown, who emerged as one of the best players in the SEC. Brown became an elite shooter from three and worked well in Auburn’s up-tempo offense. The team is constructed differently this season but Brown still should put up good numbers and help the Tigers stay atop the SEC standings.

43.Jontay Porter – Missouri

After reclassifying into the 2017 class, Jontay Porter had a solid season at Missouri, while helping Missouri get to the NCAA Tournament. This season he should improve upon his play as he will be more of a focal point in the Tigers offense, expect him to put up good numbers, establish himself as an NBA prospect and help the Tigers stay in contention in the SEC.

44.Lindell Wiggington – Iowa State

Despite Iowa State having a down season last year, Lindell Wiggington surprised many by putting up big numbers at Iowa State and leading the team in scoring. Wiggington now comes into this season having hopes of being an All-Big 12 player, which should happen if Wiggington continues to put up good statistics and Iowa State makes an improvement that most expect.

45.Jarrett Culver – Texas Tech

After being a low-ranked recruit and overachieving Jarrett Culver comes back looking to establish himself as one of the best players in the Big 12. Culver is a good scorer and good defender, both things that will be needed for the Red Raiders, the key will be for him to become an elite level scorer this season.

46.Bol Bol – Oregon

Bol Bol comes into Oregon as one of the most physically gifted players in the sport, having freak size and athleticism. Bol Bol is a likely Top-5 pick but will provide a lot to the Ducks this season, as he will be an elite defender because of his size and he has the offensive ability to be a solid scorer on offense.

47.Cody Martin – Nevada

While Cody Martin isn’t necessarily a great scoring player, he has proven to be one of the elite role players in the sport, as he does everything for the Wolf Pack. Martin is an elite level defender, a great passer, and a good rebounder, all things any team needs, what he brings to the table can help the Wolf Pack have their best season in program history.

48.Austin Wiley – Auburn

After missing last season due to the FBI investigation, Austin Wiley returns in hope of being one of the best big men in the country. Wiley had a decent freshman season and had NBA Draft aspirations but decided to stay in College, if he can play to his potential he should be an All-SEC player, while also being a big force inside.

49.Justin Wright-Foreman – Hofstra

Justin Wright-Foreman is an early candidate to lead the nation in scoring, as he put up big numbers last year and is poised to this season. Last year Wright-Foreman won CAA Player of the year and will likely repeat that this season, I look for him to average around 25-28 points per game and make Hofstra a top tier team in the CAA.

50.Charles Bassey – Western Kentucky

Western Kentucky comes into Western Kentucky as the highest rated recruit in program history, which helps give the Hilltoppers at-large hopes. Bassey will likely start at Center and will dominate Conference USA, as he is too big and athletic for most of that league, that will mean big stats for Bassey in his only season at Western Kentucky.

51.Quentin Grimes – Kansas

Quentin Grimes comes into Kansas as the Jayhawks most highly touted freshman and an almost certain one and done prospect. Grimes is big, has good ball handling and passing abilities, all things the Jayhawks need this season, assuming he steps in and uses all those tools he could help the Jayhawks get back to the Final Four.

52.Kellan Grady – Davidson

In year one at Davidson Kellan Grady became a star player and was a big part of Davidson’s late-season run to the NCAA Tournament. This year he will look to build off that, look for him to win A10 Player of the year, while also trying to lead Davidson to the NCAA Tournament.

53.Ty Jerome – Virginia

Ty Jerome returns to Virginia, to help run their offense and avenge their loss last season to UMBC in the first round. Jerome is a great role player for the Cavaliers, as he is a good defender, can run the point guard position and he can make shots, all those make him a key piece for a Virginia team that is looking to make a deep NCAA Tournament run this season.

54.Keldon Johnson – Kentucky

Keldon Johnson is another likely one and done prospect for Kentucky, however, he should fit in nicely with the team they have assembled. Johnson is a good shooter and can play both the 2 and the 3 in College because of his quickness and his size, he should start for Kentucky and provide some ingredients to help the Wildcats win games.

55.Marcquise Reed – Clemson

As a junior Marcquise Reed had a breakthrough season as he emerged as the leading scorer for the Clemson Tigers, as they finished third in the ACC. I look for Reed to do more of the same this season as a senior, which should keep the Tigers near the top of the ACC and also Top-25 nationally.

56.Jalen Hudson – Florida

After transferring from Virginia Tech, Jalen Hudson stepped right in and became an elite level scorer for the Gators last season. Hudson should continue to put up some high scoring games but he will be asked to be more of a team leader for the Gators this season.

57.Anthony Cowan – Maryland

Anthony Cowan has proven himself to be a good point guard for the Terrapins in his first two seasons at Maryland, being a good scorer and passer. That should continue this season for Cowan as he looks to put up big numbers, the real question will be whether that can equate to winning for the Terrapins.

58.Jaylen Nowell – Washington

Jaylen Nowell was one of the best freshmen in the sport last season but hardly got talked about, this year he should become a household name in the sport. Nowell stepped in right away for Washington and led them in scoring, that should continue this season but look for Nowell and the Huskies to get a lot more attention nationally.

59.Zach Norvell Jr. – Gonzaga

Zach Norvell Jr. quickly emerged as one of Gonzaga’s best players in his freshman campaign, which should help carry into his Sophomore season. Norvell has already shown the abilities to go off offensively, if he shows more consistency in year two he could lead the Bulldogs in scoring this season.

60.Ja Morant – Murray State

Ja Morant is the player to watch in the Ohio Valley, as already he is an established player for Murray State while also having a NBA Draft buzz. Morant had a great freshman campaign at Murray State but will be asked to do more this season, assuming he steps up he could win Ohio Valley Conference player of the year, while also becoming a first-round NBA Draft pick.

61.Jeremiah Martin – Memphis

Jeremiah Martin was an elite AAC player last season, which helped the Tigers finish fifth in the conference, however, with new head coach Penny Hardaway, fans will be looking for a better finish. Look for Martin to once again be a key scorer for the Tigers as the hope to make it back to the NCAA Tournament.

62.Tacko Fall – Central Florida

Statistically Tacko Fall isn’t a great player, however, his 7’6” frame creates a giant mismatch for teams both offensively and defensively, which is big for UCF. This year Fall should have a similar season to his past couple but the mismatch he creates could be one of the reason UCF makes it into the NCAA Tournament.

63.Bennie Boatwright – USC

Last year was disappointing season for Boatwright, as he didn’t put up that great of numbers and missed the last part of the season with a knee injury. That being said he’s shown to be a star player already for USC, if he can stay healthy I think he will put up big numbers for the Trojans this season.

64.Clayton Custer – Loyola-Chicago

The reigning Missouri Valley Conference Player of the year comes into this season as a star, after having helped the Ramblers make it to the Final Four. This season Custer should put up better numbers and he could win conference player of the year, that being said it would surprise me if the Ramblers made that type of run in the tournament this season.

65.Temple Gibbs – Notre Dame

Last season, Gibbs put up good numbers, while keeping the Irish afloat despite having injuries to Matt Farrell and Bonzie Colson. With both them gone, Gibbs should become an even better scorer, while he also will become the teams leader.

66.Myles Powell – Seton Hall

Seton Hall losses three big-time players from last years team, this means a lot of the shots will now go to Myles Powell. Expect Powell to put up big scoring numbers and potentially lead Seton Hall to the NCAA Tournament for the fourth straight season.

67.KeVaughn Allen – Florida

Last year KeVaughn Allen struggled but his Sophomore season he was an elite scorer, as he helped the Gators get to the Elite Eight. Look for Allen to return to his Sophomore season form this year, which will make the Gators a dangerous team in the SEC.

68.Phil Booth -Villanova

Phil Booth has been the emotional leader for Villanova for a few years but will need to step up his game this season with most of their team departing to the NBA. I look for Booth to become a great offensive weapon this season for a Villanova team that will look to win the Big East again.

69.Desmond Bane – TCU

Desmond Bane is a breakout candidate this season in the Big 12, as he looks poised to put up big numbers for TCU this season. Bane has had some big games already but has lacked consistency, look for him to be more consistently great and be the Horned Frogs leading scorer this season.

70.Jessie Govan – Georgetown

Jessie Govan averaged a double-double in his junior season, which helped the Hoyas stay relevant in year one of the Patrick Ewing era. This season expect more of the same from Govan who will provide stability inside for the Hoyas.

71.McKinley Wright IV – Colorado

Last season as a Freshman, Wright came in and instantly became the Buffaloes leading scorer, which is a sign of great things to come. In year two look for him to put up some monster scoring numbers and gain All-Pac-12 honors.

72.Dylan Osetkowski – Texas

Dylan Osetkowski is the most important player on a Texas team that is full of talented young pieces. Look for Osetkowski to help ignite the Longhorns offensively and defensively, which will be key for the Longhorns as they hope to have a breakthrough season.

73.Jarron Cumberland – Cincinnati

Cincinnati loses three of their four leading scorers from last years team that won the AAC, leaving Jarron Cumberland as the best player on the Bearcats. Cumberland is a great scorer but has been somewhat overshadowed over the past few seasons, that will change this season though, as he should put up big numbers for the Bearcats.

74.Phil Cofer – Florida State

Phil Cofer received an extra year of eligibility this past May, which is in part what makes Florida State such a dangerous team this upcoming season. Cofer was the Seminoles leading scorer from last seasons team that made it to the Elite Eight and he should continue to produce at a similar level.

75.Chris Silva – South Carolina

Chris Silva turned into the focal point of the Gamecocks offense last season, putting up good numbers, while being a good defender and rebounder. Silva should play a similar role to the one he played last season, which will make him one of the best bigs in the SEC.

76.Jaylen Fisher – TCU

After missing nearly half of last season with an ACL injury, Jaylen Fisher will be back to help lead the Horned Frogs back to the NCAA Tournament. Fisher is a decent scorer but is best known for his ability to help set up teammates, both these things will be key for Fisher and the Horned Frogs this season.

77.Oshae Brissett – Syracuse

As a freshman Oshae Brissett stepped in and was a major contributor to the Orange, who just made it into the NCAA Tournament but managed to make it to the Sweet 16. Brissett was often times overworked last season, however, that should change and help Brissett be a little more efficient on the offensive end.

78.Nick Ward – Michigan State

Nick Ward is one of the most physically tough big men down low in the Big Ten, while fatigue have kept his minutes down, he still puts up good statistics. If Ward can find a way to play more minutes while maintaining his efficiency he could break out as one of the best big men in the sport.

79.Naz Reid – LSU

LSU will be a Top-25 team entering preseason, which is in part due to a great recruiting class that is headlined by Naz Reid. Reid enters into college as an elite post player, while he’s shown the ability to step out and make jump shots, this paired along with Tremont Waters makes LSU a dangerous team in the SEC.

80.Terance Mann – Florida State

Terrance Mann has proven to be a key contributor already for the Seminoles, as he was a big key in their Elite Eight run. Look for Mann to be one of the leading scorers on the Seminoles as they hope to build on their success from last season.

81.Admiral Schofield – Tennessee

Admiral Schofield was a key piece for the Volunteers, putting up good numbers while being a key piece down low next to Grant Williams. Schofield should continue to play a similar role this season, although he and the Volunteers should look to build on their success from last year.

82.Dylan Windler – Belmont

Dylan Windler emerged as the Bruins best player last year, as he helped lead the Bruins to the Ohio Valley Conference Championship game. This year expect more of the same scoring wise from Windler, although, depending upon how the Bruins season goes he could be the Ohio Valley Player of the year.

83.Torin Dorn – NC State

Torin Dorn isn’t necessarily a household name in the ACC but he has all the makings to become one this season. Dorn was a solid role player these past two seasons but he could put up big numbers, while also creating mismatches being a potential small-ball four.

84.DeSean Murray – Western Kentucky

DeSean Murray was a key component for Auburn last year, notably he was an undersized four but was able to hold down the position on defense while igniting their high scoring offense. Look for him to play a similar role this year for the Hilltoppers and he should help lead them back to the NCAA Tournament.

85.Quade Green – Kentucky

Kentucky has maybe one of the most experienced teams in the John Calipari era and point guard Quade Green is one of those players with experience. Green is really not an elite prospect, however, his game manager abilities could be key for Kentucky as they hope to make a deep tournament run.

86.Jaylen Hands – UCLA

The Bruins have a good young nucleus of players, however, a key component for UCLA will be Jaylen Hands ability to step in and run the point. Hands should put up decent numbers scoring wise but for UCLA to have a good season he must help get his teammates involved.

87.Darius Garland – Vanderbilt

Vanderbilt adds maybe their best recruiting class ever, as they get five-star forward Semi Shittu and five-star point guard Darius Garland. Garland is expected to put up big numbers this season for Vanderbilt, which could help his draft stock this season.

88.Nick Weatherspoon – Mississippi State

In his freshman season, Nick Weatherspoon stepped in and started for the Bulldogs as they narrowly missed out on the NCAA Tournament. He was a solid role player in year one but will likely have a breakout year this season, which is why many think the Bulldogs should be ranked going into the preseason.

89.Chris Lykes – Miami

Chris Lykes was a great contributor off the bench for the Hurricanes last year but really didn’t get enough playing time to show how valuable he could be. This year he should start at the point guard position and step into a much larger role both as a scorer and a passer, this will be key for the Hurricanes this season.

90.Noah Dickerson – Washington

Noah Dickerson is one of the best players the Huskies have coming back, as he is a good scorer and rebounder, while he fits perfectly on the wing in their 2-3 zone. Look for Dickerson to play a similar role this season but it won’t be overlooked as the Huskies should make the NCAA Tournament.

91.Lagerald Vick – Kansas

Lagerald Vick’s career has been a rollercoaster, as he has had many great moments but also a lot of disappointing moments to go alongside that. I think Vick will end his career on a good note, being a good scorer and defender for a Kansas team that has National Championship aspirations this season.

92.Jordan Brown – Nevada

Eric Musselman has gotten most of his talent through the transfer market but was able to get his highest ranked recruit in Jordan Brown. Brown should come in and start from day one, while his minutes could be limited at first he will prove to be a key piece as the Wolf Pack look to make a deep NCAA Tournament run.

93.Joe Cremo – Villanova

Joe Cremo has proven to be an elite scorer at the mid-major level but he will need to bring in some experience to the Villanova roster as a grad transfer. Look for Cremo to provide some scoring and experience, as he looks to help Villanova win another Big East title.

94.Alpha Diallo – Providence

Providence is set to have a rebuilding year, however, they still have a good young core of players headlined by Alpha Diallo. Diallo showed his ability to develop to the next level already at Providence, so I expect Diallo to make a jump and become an All-Big East caliber player.

95.Tevin Mack – Alabama

Tevin Mack is considered to be one of the best transfers now eligible to play this season. He played well at Texas in his first two years but decided to transfer following a suspension. If he is able to live up to his talent he will be a nice piece for Alabama as they look to make another NCAA Tournament.

96.Quentin Goodin – Xavier

Xavier loses their top three scorers from last years team, which means that it will be time for some other players to step up, that starts with Quentin Goodin. Goodin has been a solid role player at the point guard position over the past few years but has yet to display what he can do but that will change this year, look for Goodin to put up better numbers this season as a scorer.

97.Daniel Gafford – Arkansas

NBA prospect-wise, Daniel Gafford is talented enough to be a Top-30 player but when looking at the top players in College Basketball he finds himself a little bit lower on this list. Gafford should put up big stats and will show to be a great NBA prospect but Arkansas will probably be bad which takes value away from him.

98.Cam Johnson – North Carolina

Cam Johnson is the role player that everyone wants on their team, as he is a great three-point shooter, while also being a great defender. While Luke Maye and Nassir Little will get the headlines, Johnson could be key for the Tar Heels if they are going to make a deep tournament run.

99.James Bolden – West Virginia

West Virginia has been spoiled with the duo of Jevon Carter and Daxter Miles Jr. but they will move on to their next guard, James Bolden. Bolden will be asked to do a lot more offensively and defensively, if he can make a major jump like expected the Mountaineers could have a very similar season to last season.

100.Anthony Lamb – Vermont

Anthony Lamb only played 18 games last year, due to a foot injury but has shown great potential in his two seasons at Vermont. The Catamounts lose a lot of scoring from last year, meaning Lamb will need to step up offensively, look for him to have a big season and lead the Catamounts back to the NCAA Tournament.

Just Missed Out: Josh Langford, Sam Hauser, Charlie Moore, Jalen McDaniels, Markell Johnson, Ryan Taylor, Chris Clemons, Brad Davidson, Brandon Clarke, Bruno Fernando

    1. A lot of it has to do with the roles they’ll play this season, Perkins is going to be mostly a passer, while Davidson is going to have to scorer a lot more.
