UNLV Graduate Transfer Commits to Wake Forest

Jonah Antonio from Perth Australia, started his career at Mount St. Mary’s, where he averaged 11.3 PPG for the Mount in 17-18, he then went to JUCO and ended up being a Runnin’ Rebel last season averaging 6.9 PPG. Antonio’s best skill is shooting although his percentages don’t reflect that, as he had a 31% 3PT Percentage last season but was hurt for a chunk of last season and he struggled to find consistency. When watching Antonio he has a very smooth jumper so I could see him being a 38+ percent 3PT shooter next season as a Grad-Transfer at Wake Forest.

It’s an interesting move for Antonio, he had Rhode Island, DePaul, BYU in final 3 but chose Wake Forest and they can definitely use him. It’s unexpected but he’ll fit in well on that team another good shooter along with Ismael Massoud. Losing Olivier Sarr (Kentucky), Chaundee Brown to the portal, Brandon Childress to graduation they need a vet to step in they’ll get that with Jonah Antonio and Isaiah Mucius they’ll win probably 14 or so games, Wake Forest is an okay team but it’s an uphill battle for Steve Forbes this season.
