West Coast Conference has traditionally been run by Gonzaga and after them, St. Mary’s is usually good as well but after that, the league usually isn’t all that good. That has changed this year, while Gonzaga rolled through the league like it usually does, BYU and St. Mary’s have both already locked up NCAA Tournaments, while the rest of the league was pretty good. Pacific, Pepperdine and San Francisco are teams that have improved and they look poised to be pushing towards an NCAA Tournament in the future. With this event, the expectation is that Gonzaga will win this event but with BYU and St. Mary’s playing well, we are primed for an upset.
