Columbus, OH – After a mid-season slump, it seems as the Ohio State Buckeyes have found their form again. The now 23rd ranked Buckeyes picked up a strong home win against the 9th ranked Terrapins, 79-72. Luther Muhammad had a big night for the home Buckeyes, scoring 22 and adding in 5 rebounds and 2 assists. The Buckeyes did an excellent job on the two Maryland stars, Jalen Smith and Anthony Cowan, holding them to a combined 18 points on 4/12 shooting. Instead, it was Aaron Wiggins and Eric Ayala who kept the Terrapins in the game scoring wise, combining for 36.

Chris Holtman praised his team after talking about the difficulty this Maryland team presented saying, “I thought our players really competed, played really well, and players win games, they did a great job today.”

The Buckeyes will have a very winnable game away at Nebraska, and the Terrapins take a trip to the Northwest to play Daniel Oturu and the Minnesota Golden Gophers.

Bracketology Effect: The Terrapins move from the 2 in the East Region to the 2 in the Midwest, and the Buckeyes move from 7 to 6 in the Midwest Region.

Betting Effect: Covered: OSU -3, Over 131.5
