The Ohio Valley had a banner year last year, the league had the current Rookie of the Year favorite Ja Morant playing for Murray State, while Belmont got an at-large bid in last year’s NCAA Tournament. The league has since gone into rebuilding mode with a lot of talent gone and the premier coach Rick Byrd retiring. With that being said, Belmont and Murray State both are the top two seeds in this year’s edition, both teams have struggled at points but both found a way to stay atop the lead. Terry Taylor is the league’s best player as he was outstanding for Austin Peay as they clinched the three seed in the league tournament. This Conference Tournament has been one of the most entertaining leagues year after year, and while the talent is gone, Ohio Valley Madness will ensue.
